Ironmonger specializes in European fittings. In many cases, our staff knows more about the integration of these fittings with American construction requirements than the factories themselves!

Please consult us before you specify, it will save time and ensure a smooth passage from specification to bid to purchase.

Memo samples are sent on written request, accompanied by an invoice that is credited on their safe return. With hardware in particular, it's important to see the actual finish, quality and scale. Before specifying, please ask for samples to examine or show to your client.

Hardware schedules can be frustrating for busy Specifiers. Once a selection is made from a Memo Sample, we can prepare a Hardware Schedule from your drawings.

Please note these Schedules contain proprietary information that is copyrighted by Ironmonger , and may not be shown to third parties without our consent.

Other products include domestic 'commodity' items such as hinges, closers, etc, which can be included in the Hardware Schedule, to offer a complete and competitive hardware package for your client or G.C.

QUOTES are sent to Bidders after a Hardware Schedule is approved. Please allow us to quote all Bidders to guarantee accurate counts and competitive pricing. Once a bid is awarded, we will be glad to follow through and ensure timely purchasing

Founded over 30 years ago, Ironmonger was the first company to introduce modern European hardware fittings to American architects.

Beginning in the mid-Sixties, several European manufacturers proposed a then revolutionary philosophy of designing co-ordinated fittings for all parts of a building - unlike the US market where, even today, levers and locks are made by one firm, doorpulls by another, and bathroom fittings by yet another.

Designed primarily for commercial use and made to the highest standards from materials such as 316 grade stainless steel, these fittings have steadily gathered international recognition through use in major projects from Europe to the USA and the Far East. Many are now considered classics of modern hardware design.

Based in Chicago, Ironmonger continues to serve as the leading source for European hardware in the USA, providing architects, designers and specifiers in every State with the best selection of modern hardware available today.
